15 NDFB ( R) members join NDFB (Progressive)

KOKRAJHAR, January 8: A 15– member group of the tiol Democratic Front of Boroland (Ranjan Daimary) faction y formally joined the NDFB (Progressive) at the desigted camp of the 2nd Battalion Head Quarter at Serfanguri in Kokrajhar district on Thursday in presence of senior leaders of the outfit.

The 15 members of the NDFB (R) who joined NDFB (P) included N. Mwnthai alias Martin rzary and G. Rafwt alias Renjen Goyary, commanding officer of Western Command of the outfit. Most of the members who joined the progressive group disclosed that they were not happy with the ideology of NDFB chairman Ranjan Daimary and said that they could not tolerate the killing of their own people.

Talking to media persons, G. Rafwt said the NDFB (R) was involved in some activities that were intolerable to the Bodo society. He said they did not like the elimition of their own people.

N. Mwnthai said that Daimary had sent him to Kokrajhar to collect money from Srirampur and businessmen and entrepreneurs in Kokrajhar town. He also said he was not satisfied with the tiol council meeting of the NDFB held recently.

The simple ceremony was attended by Vice President of the NDFB (P) B. Jaiklong, M. Gerema, Home Secretary, B.Sudem, Judicial Secretary, I. Dominic Assistant Secretary, B. Bandw, Assistant Organizing Secretary, R.Daoka, Assistant Publicity Secretary and Commanding Officer of the Western Assam zone, B. Jwngblao.

On the other hand, the Publicity Secretary of the NDFB (Ranjan Daimary faction), B. ijab in a press statement said that both G. Rafwt and N. Mwnthai were discharged from the outfit due to their involvement in anti–organizatiol activities.
