Bus mishap at Basistha

Guwahati, January 8: Three passengers were seriously injured in a bus mishap at Basistha on Thursday morning. Sources said the city bus was coming from Basistha Temple towards Basistha Chariali when the incident occurred. The handyman was driving the bus, it was alleged. The bus first hit an Alto vehicle and then rammed into a parked motorcycle before skidding off the road. There were around 22 passengers in the bus, mostly students. Jawans of the army camp located nearby rushed and rescued the passengers who were given first aid at the army hospital. Three of the seriously injured were referred to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital.
