Sports unveils the persolity: Ering

Itagar, January  8: Sports unveils the persolity, letting the character shine through, it gives an opportunity to know and test oneself, stated Lok Sabha MP Ninong Ering while attending the much awaited Sports Day of Ruksin Higher Secondary School in East Siang district yesterday.

The iugural function began with great zeal and enthusiasm, an official release informed.

Ering lit the Olympic torch and declared the sports meet open with a joyous note in presence of Principal Marte Koyu, ZPMs Toggeng Panyang and Tajing Taki, PMC Councilor Kaling Darang and hundreds of spectators.

Students presented impressive march past, drills, mega dance, took oath of fair play and participated in sports.

In his address, Ering lauded the excellent performance of the students and thanked the faculty for the marvelous sports day presentation.

The MP shared with the students his journey and life stories that left everyone hoping for more glimpses into his fruitful life. He highlighted the need for the sports and advised the students to play with true sportsmanship saying that sports is essential for physical and all round development of an individual.

He stressed the need of sports as it inculcates discipline and helps to develop one’s talent to the maximum.

Responding to a memorandum submitted by local leader Tasung Saroh the MP assured to construct one modern Community Hall worth 1 Cr. at Ruksin in phase manner from his MPLAD so that people can celebrate Solung, Etor, Mopin, Christmas etc.

Before concluding his address Ering appreciated the ABK (Women Wing) for taking measures to lessen the drunken drive accidents and other alcoholic mece in the district. As per police report, there was no any single case of drunk driving accidental case during Christmas, waiting night or the year beginning. They had cracked down by seizing illegally selling IMFL in their private residence and backdoor with the help of general administration. Their tireless efforts should be appreciated by the society, he added. Hailing the students for their active participation in the celebration, the Guest of Honour Tapiam Pada (SDO) hoped that such activities would improve unity and develop their persolity. Students need to acquire latest knowledge through rigorous academic process. Discipline was equally essential for all age of group but for students it holds a great value, he said. Success would be theirs who value and practice self–discipline in life to scale newer heights of academic excellence, he opined. Extracurricular activities like games and sports for them in schools are essential as these fastens friendship and amity, give a healthy direction to their excessive energies and make them better citizens of tomorrow, Pada added in his deliberation. Among others, Principal M Koyu, VP Tajom Padung, ZPM T Panyang and Tasung Saroh spoke on the occasion, the release added.
