Meghalaya Kick boxers shine in tiol level meet

SHILLONG, Sep 10: The Meghalaya Kick boxers under the banner of Meghalaya State Kickboxing Association (MSKA) till filing of this report have mage to bring medals and laurels for the State with 7 Gold Medals, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze Medals at the WAKO India Cadet, Sub-junior, Junior (Boys & Girls) and Senior (Men & Women Categories held at Sardar Balbeer Singh Juneja Indoor stadium Raipur Chhattisgarh organising by Kickboxing Association of Chhattisgarh as sanctioned by WAKO India on September 6 to 10.

In this edition of Raipur 2017 tiol Kickboxing Championship 2017, there were altogether 25 State and 4 Union Territories with 2200 Kickboxers from all over the Country. Meghalaya State Kickboxing Association maged to reach Raipur with the help and supports of well wishers and sports lovers through Kolkata by flight with 29 kick boxers (8 girls/women & 21 Boys/men), 3 Intertiol referee & Judges, 2 Team Magers and 1 State Representative on 4th September 2017 in spite of the fact that the Train from Guwahati to Kolkata was cancelled due to inclement weather and flood.

On the opening day, Asiad gold medallist Pynnebor Mylliemngap retains his tiol Title with the Gold Medal at the Musical form Hard Style of Kickboxing in the Senior Category. A self made champion, a Class XI student of Shillong College and hailing from Smit Village, Pynnehbor Mylliemngap learns this arts all by himself.
