Orion EduTech inks MoU with Arunachal

Itanagar, May 27: The Kolkata-based Orion EduTech Pvt Ltd has entered into an agreement with the Arunachal Pradesh government for providing employable skill training to the educated unemployed youths of the state.

In this regard, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed here on Friday by Onit Panyang, Secretary, Department of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Jyotiska Maitra, Assistant Vice President, Orion EduTech Pvt Ltd, in presence of Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Parliamentary Secretary for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Jambey Tashi and other senior officers of the department.

As per the MoU, Orion EduTech will provide employable skill training under PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana), both in Kolkata and Arunachal Pradesh with 70 per cent job guaranteed to successful trainees.

A training partner with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and State Skill Development Mission under PMKVY, Orion EduTech Pvt Ltd, Kolkata has established its first Training Centre in the state, at Vivek Vihar here which was also inaugurated by CM Khandu on Friday wherein 240 youths are undergoing training in food & beverages services and front office executive under tourism & hospitality sector, an official release informed here today.
