Yoga teachers’ diploma holders receive certificate

Dibrugarh, May 28: Seven yoga teachers’ diploma holders (of batch 2016-17) were given certificate of ‘Kayayogi’ at a brief function held on Sunday at the Lakhika Samaroh Auditorium here at Chowkidingee, Dibrugarh. The one-year job-oriented yoga curriculum is being run by Swami Shivananda Yogajyoti Mahavidyalaya, promoted by Indian Yoga Culture and Yoga Therapy Centre, Guwahati and affiliated to Srimanta Sankardeva University of Health Sciences, Assam.

In the formal ceremony, Minu Borgohain, Principal of the organization presided over the session while other guests present were Yogacharya Subhasish, founder president of Yoga Culture and Yoga Therapy Centre, Guwahati, Soma Chakraborty, chairperson, Dibrugarh Municipality Board, Sonu Roy, Director of Swami Shivananda Yogjyoti Mahavidyalaya, Sebon Prasad Sarmah and Abdul Khaleque, social activists of Dibrugarh. The diploma holders will now be able to associate themselves in yoga service in educational and other institutions. The seven diploma holders are Surobhi Doley, Puspanjali Kuli, Geetali Gogoi, Reshmi Chakucha, Perina Baglari, Wasima Khatoon and Rajarshi Chowdhury.
