ABMSU to pay for educational expenses of poor student

Bongaigaon, May 29: The All Bodoland Minorities Students’ Union (ABMSU) has taken up the responsibility of a student from poor financial background. The student body assured to pay for all the educational expenses for the bright student. Hasina Khatun of Hatipota area of Chirang district scored 81 per cent in the HSLC exam, 2018. Her father Hanip Ali is the assistant of a carpenter and also a driver. Her family is unable to afford her higher education. ABMSU leaders Shahkamal Khandakar and Shahanur Rahman went to her house on Tuesday and assured to pay for her educational expenses.

Khandakar said that it would be shameful for them if this bright student had to quit studies due to her economic condition. “Her father is still working in Bhutan as a driver and he is unable to bear the cost of her higher studies. So the ABMSU will bear her educational expenses and help her fulfil her dreams.”
