Pallavi of Mangaldai gets 10th position in Commerce stream

MANGALDAI, May 31: Pallavi Das, a student of Brilliant Academy, Mangaldai, has brought laurels by securing the 10th position in the Commerce stream in the HS final examination under AHSEC. She has enlisted her name in the list of the top successful candidates by securing total marks of 456. She secured 91 marks in English, 86 in Elective English, 98 in Accountancy, 86 in Business Study, 95 in Business Arithmetic and 80 in Banking. Pallavi is the second daughter of Samiran Chandra Das, cashier of SSA in Darrang, and Rewa Karmakar, a senior assistant in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Darrang. Her father, originally of Kalaigaon in Udalguri district, has settled at Baruapara, Santipur in Mangaldai town. Immediately on receipt of the news of her achievement, all the jubilant students and staff of Brilliant Academy with Director Rittick Choudhury took out a procession covering all the main thoroughfares of Mangaldai town. Pallavi wants to become a Chartered Accountanct or a college teacher. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Darrang, Pankaj Chakravarty and chairman of Mangaldai Municipality Board, Pratap Bordoloi accompanied by journalist Ganesh Dutta, offered her a hearty felicitation at her residence. Mangaldai legislator Guru Jyoti Das also visited her house and congratulated her on her achievement.
