Cough syrup seized

GUWAHATI, June 12: The Garchuk police on Monday seized ten cartoons of cough syrup containing 1000 bottles from a Jalukbari bound Tata magic vehicle on NH-37. In connection with the illegal carrying of the drugs, two staff of the vehicle identified as Md Sadek Ali from Goroimari and Ranjit Biswas from Fatasil Ambari were arrested on the spot for not being able to produce invoice against the seized drugs. According to police source, the cartoon loaded vehicle was heading towards Jalukbari from Khanapara.
