Essential commodities distributed

Silchar, June 18: Lakhipur civil administration distributed large quantities of rice, salt and pulses among 165 families who have taken shelter at Kewaghat LP School, Ujan Tarapur, 721 No Ujan Badri LP School, health sub centre, Digli Bahadurpur and old battalion camp, Jirighat and Garden Hospital, Jirighat on Saturday. ADC J R Lalsim, in-charge, SDO (Civil), Lakhipur and Circle Officer of Lakhipur Pradip Kumar Gupta took the initiative and sent for the Patowary, Kanungo and staff of SDO (Civil) Office to distribute these essential commodities among the relief camp inmates. A medical team also visited these relief camps and provided them with free and necessary medicines.
