Training on terror crime investigation begins

GUWAHATI, June 20: A three-day training programme on Terror Crime Investigation organized by National Investigation Agency (NIA) in association with Assam Police was kicked off on Wednesday at Assam Police Headquarters, Guwahati under the guidance of Ministry of Home Affairs. During the training, scheduled from June 20 to 22, the police personnel of the north east states will be detailed and updated on the theme, a department communiqué said.

The inaugural session of the programme was attended by Assam DGP Kuladhar Saikia, Spl DGP (SB), Pallav Bhattacharya, ADGP (L&O), Mukesh Agarwal, Commissioner of Police, Hiren Ch Nath and IGP (NIA) Mukesh Singh besides other senior police officials.

Police personnel would be greatly benefitted by this training programme which includes cyber crime investigation and other related matters connected with terror investigation, the communiqué added.
