‘Nursing school fails to provide basic amenities’

A Correspondent

NAHARLAGUN, June 23: Despite repeated reminders to the authority of the Arunachal State Nursing School (ASNS) and state government by the students on various problems on water clogging, congested rooms, crack roofs, lack of potable water and blocked toilets, the concerned authorities are yet silent on the students grievances.

Speaking to the reporters a student of the institute said that the girls residing in the hostel are facing uncountable problems due to the lack of basic amenities in the hostel.

"Due to the crack roof the rain water level in some instances reaches upto the ankle level. Living and studying in the hostel has been like torment to us, she added."

As the hostel is in the verge of fall due to landslide, the administration had asked to shift only 26 students out of total 96 to the temporary shelter at police barrack. The temporary shift allocated is very far from the hospital which is a distress for the students work during night hours, she said.

A parent of a student said that since the year 2014 after the shift of hostel, this place has been concerning for us. The wards have been complaining several times.
