Guwahati: Former Assam Ranji player Nishanta Bordoloi has been appointed as the new Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the National Cricket Academy (NCA) U-19 Indian Boys Camp which is scheduled to be held on July 15, 2019, and will continue up to August 8, 2019, at NCA in Bengaluru.

As per a media report, a letter from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had confirmed this on Wednesday.

It may be mentioned here that Nishanta Bordoloi earlier has trained the India A, India under 23, India under 19, North Zone and the Delhi Ranji Trophy teams.

Recently, he had finished training one batch at Himachal Pradesh.

Nishanta Bordoloi was also appointed earlier as the Fielding Coach for Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League.

Furthermore, in June 2018, he was appointed as the faculty member of BCCI’s National Cricket Academy.

It may be mentioned here that Nishanta Bordoloi (born 29 December 1977) is an Indian cricketer who played for Assam cricket team. He is a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm off break. Bordoloi made his first-class debut in the 1994/95 Ranji Trophy. He played 35 first-class matches and 29 List A matches for Assam. Currently, Bordoloi is working as qualified Strength -Conditioning & Fielding Coach with over 30 Indian International Cricketers and over 100 first-class cricketers in India emphasizing fitness and fielding. He is also an England & Wales cricket board qualified level -2 Cricket Coach and also specializes as a fielding Coach. He is the strength conditioning & Fielding Coach of the Delhi team as well.
