Additional District Magistrate ordered to conduct inquiry into water pipe burst in Kharghuli

GUWAHATI: The District Magistrate of Kamrup Metropolitan District ordered an inquiry into the incident of the bursting of a water pipe in the Kharghuli area on May 25, leading to the sweeping away of several vehicles, damaging at least 40 houses, and injuring around 30 people in that locality. Ajit Kumar Sarmah, Additional District Magistrate and CEO, DDMA, Kamrup Metropolitan District, will be conducting this inquiry covering all points of Assam Human Rights Council Case No. 4680 of 23–24 (9)/10.
