GUWAHATI: Three packets of ganja were recovered from a grocery shop at Lokhra Bazar on Monday evening.

Based on information, that ganja was being sold in the grocery shop, a team of Lokhra Police conducted a search operation in the shop and recovered three packets of ganja. Police also searched a nearby eatery owned by the same person and recovered nine more packets of ganja.

Two women were arrested in this connection. They are Rumi Mahanta (25), owner of the grocery shop, daughter of Dulal Mahanta and resident of Kalapani Goshala under Gorchuk PS; and Tapochi Biswas, wife of Sanjib Biswas of village Mayeng 1 no under Bhurgaon PS in Mayeng, Morigaon. She used to deliver goods on demand, said police sources.
