Girl commits suicide in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A young girl allegedly committed suicide in her house in the Bhangagarh area of the city on Monday night. The deceased, identified as Shreya Devi, was a medical student studying in Odisha. She was found hanging in her house located at Chilarai Path in the SBI colony area. Police arrived at the scene and sent the body for post-mortem. Police sources said that the girl took the extreme step as she was allegedly suffering from depression.
