NF Railway observes Mahaparinirwan Divas of Dr. BR Ambedkar

GUWAHATI: The 66th Mahaparinirwan Divas of Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar was observed on Tuesday in Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Sabha Griha at the N F Railway Headquarters complex. Anshul Gupta, General Manager of NF Railway and other senior officials, paid homage by lighting the lamp and offering floral tribute to the portrait of Bharat Ratna Dr. BR Ambedkar. The officers, staff of NF Railway Headquarters and representatives of various associations and unions were also present on the occasion.

Dr BR Ambedkar was independent India's first Minister of Law and Justice, and considered as the chief architect of the Constitution of India. He was also an eminent Indian jurist, economist, politician and social reformer. The author of the Indian Constitution, born in a simple family, had got achievements in the field of education amidst many difficulties. His fame was not only in the country but also abroad.

Speaking on this occasion, Anshul Gupta, General Manager of NF Railway mentioned about Dr. BR Ambedkar's contribution towards framing of our Constitution, providing justice and equality to all classes of the society and development of under-privileged section of the society. His whole life is an inspiration for all classes of the society, the General Manager added, stated a press release.
