Pakistan man uses chin to play snooker as he has no hands

Samundri, Pakistan: 32-year-old Muhammad Ikram, who was born without arms uses his chin to strike the cue ball, it rolls across the table and sinks into a corner pocket. Ikram has now mastered the game of snooker.

Ikram, from Samundari, a town in Pakistan's Punjab province, has spent eight years flexing his neck and pushing the cue ball with his chin. 

Ikram who was born in a poor family of nine children is uneducated but hopes to bring great fame to Pakistan.

He spent a lot of time watching people play snooker, a game one cannot imagine him play.

Ikram does not remember when the idea of playing snooker came to him, however, he recalls starting the practice in secret.

His mother Razia Bibi, Ikram would eagerly watch the other boys play. He would keep wishing he also had arms so he could play like them then he started using his chin.

Mian Usman Ahmed, co-owner of Cuemaster Snooker Club, said Ikram has won several prizes in local tournaments in the last two years.

Ikram is appreciated for his spirit towards life. He says that some eateries allow him to eat for free, with some waiters even volunteering to spoon-feed him.

When Ikram was asked what message would he give to other differently-abled people, he said, "God has not given me arms, but He has given me courage. And I have used that spirit to fulfil my ambition. So, no one should lose hope."

He hopes to play, with the government's help, at the international level one day.
