196 Assam Police personnel tested positive for Covid 19

Several Assam Police personnels have been detected with Coronavirus in last few weeks as part of the frontline workers trying to combat against the raging pandemic.

It has been reported that 196 police personnel have tested positive till Sunday, July 5.

Out of 196 Assam Police personnels, 38 have recovered and 932 other personnels are under quarantine.

ADGP GP Singh informed in a tweet saying "As on July 5th 2020 - Till now 196 @assampolice personnel tested Covid positive out of whom 38 have recovered. 932 police personnel are under quarantine."

it is to be mentioned Kamrup (M) ADCChinmoy Nath  tested COVID-19 positive for a swab test after suffering from fever and cough -- common symptoms associated with the virus on Saturday, July 4.

It is to noted that Assam on Saturday witnessed the highest single-day spike of Coronavirus cases as 1,202 people tested positive in the state. With the detection of these cases, the tally of cases surged to 11,001. The active cases tally stands at 4,657 and the cured patients number 6,327.
