All Assam Bike-Taxi Operator's Union Demands Proper Pay System

Guwahati: The All Assam bike-taxi operator on Monday has demanded to the Assam government to solve the payment process which is pending for a year.

All Assam bike-taxi operator union secretary Bhargav Borah said, "We'd like to get paid according to a Google map. We occasionally notice incorrect distances and amounts. As a result, please make every effort to determine the exact distance and pay riders the correct amount".

The union added that since the cost of petrol in Assam is nearly Rs.110 per litre, with two-wheelers costing above Rs.1 lakh, monthly servicing of bikes, tyre tube replacement, and other expenses are incurred, the current pay structure is insufficient for us.

He also said that the management could not apply any penalties for client cancellations.

"Management shall take full responsibility for the Rider while on duty and pay the actual cost of the ride based on distance and time. The Rider face any difficulties and went to office regarding some issues that should be solved immediately. If management could not able to solve it can directly contact or consult with the Union members. The Head Office contact numbers and names should be shared with the Union members", he said.
