Assam Foods: Rs 1 lakh donated to Chaiduar College

JAMUGURIHAT: The Darrang-Sonitpur and Biswanath zonal committee of Assam College Principals' Council met the Deputy Commissioner of Biswanath, Munindra Nath Nagatey.

The delegates, including Dr. Jyoti Kamal Hazarika, president of the council, Dr Chinta Mani Sharma, secretary of the council, along with Dr. Palash Mani Saikia; Principal of Darrang College, Dr. Jiban Chandra Nath, Principal of Behali Degree College and Dr Swapan Kumar Kalita met the Biswanath DC and submitted a memorandum demanding compensation for Chaiduar College which has been badly affected by the recent wave of flood. The library, computer lab, auditorium, and a large section of furniture have been damaged by the flash flood. The delegates demanded financial assistance from the district administration for the affected college. Later, the team visited Chaiduar College and handed over a cash amount of Rs 1 lakh to Dr Anjan Jyoti Ojah, Principal of Chaiduar College.
