Assam Govt issues Unlock 3.0 guidelines. Check all the details here

Guwahati: Aligning with the Centre's directives to 'unlock' the economy, the Assam State Government issued its Unlock 3.0 guidelines on Thursday (August 13).

Announcing the Unlock 3.0 relaxations vide a notification issued by the Assam State Disaster Management Authority and undersigned by Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna, the Government intends to continue with these revised rules (which shall come into effect on 6 am of August 16) till 9:30 pm of August 31.

The relaxations announced under the Unlock 3.0 in Assam are as follows:

All the permitted activities mentioned in earlier orders shall continue to be allowed between 5 am to 9 pm between Monday and Friday. Now, shops on both sides of the street shall be allowed to open on all days.

Inter-district travel shall be allowed on from Monday to Friday on buses with 50% capacity.

City buses, which have been disallowed in this lockdown, shall once again be allowed to ply on roads, albeit with 50% occupancy and subject to following of the social distancing guidelines.

All sorts of public vehicles shall be allowed to operate with 50% occupancy and by following the social distancing protocol.

Here is the list of restrictions that shall be enforced during this Unlock 3.0 period:

Movement of people between 9:30 pm to 5 am shall not be allowed.

Spitting in public places, consumption of liquor, and liquor products shall be prohibited.

Social/political/sports/entertainment/academic/religious functions and other large gatherings necessitating the participation of more that 50 people shall not be allowed.

No activities shall be allowed in containment zone areas; inward and outward movement shall be prohibited.

Cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, auditoriums, assembly halls, and similar places of public gatherings shall remain closed.

The movement of individuals shall not be allowed on Saturdays and Sundays all over the state. Meaning the weekend lockdown brought into effect at the end of June to contain the Wuhan-originating virus, shall continue to remain.
