Assam: Lakhimpur Man Held For Abducting And Selling His Niece In Arunachal Pradesh

Guwahati: Lakhimpur police on Monday apprehended a man for allegedly abducting and selling off his own niece in Arunachal Pradesh.

The incident has been reported from the Pandhuwa area of Naoboicha constituency under the Lakhimpur district.

As per reports, the local residents nabbed the person identified as Abdul Khaleque and his accomplice Islam and handed over them to the police.

Fortunately, the minor girl has been rescued and was sent to the Naoboicha Zonal Primary Hospital for medical examination.

Further investigations are into the entire matter.
