Boko Police Station OC killed in road accident at Jagiroad

Guwahati: Ratneshwar Das, the officer-in-charge of the Boko Police Station in Kamrup, Assam, was tragically killed in a vehicle accident in Jagiroad on Wednesday, August 12.

According to reports, Das was killed while he was on his way to Nagaon from Boko on official purpose. Sources informed us that the accident took place on the intervening night of August 11 and 12.

The Boko police station officer-in-charge Ratneshwar Das was driving the car himself and hit in a railing of a bridge at Nellie.

The car with registration number AS-01-Y-6312 hit the railing and the police officer died on the spot, reports said.

"It is a rather unfortunate incident which has transpired. The man whom we lost today was a sincere, hard-working, as well as an effective officer. His death will be a great loss to the police department", Partha Sarathi Mahanta, the Superintendent of Kamrup, told The Sentinel Digital.
