The arrested persons have been identified as Raju Deb and Samar Das who are members of the All Bengali Students Youth Organization (ABSYO).

It has been alleged that the members of the All Bengali Students Youth Organization (ABSYO) and the Barak Democratic Youth Front (BDYF) were involved in the incident.

The BDYF chief who had been called by the police for questioning revealed that the BDYF had organised a protest in the same venue where the incident took place but they had informed the police about their plans to protest.
