Noted Social worker Prasanta Sarma remembered on his death anniversary

PATHSALA: Noted social worker Prasanta Sarma was remembered by a number of organizations of Pathsala on his first death anniversary on Saturday.

Prasanta was the secretary of Bajali sports association and chief advisor of Udayan Sangha. He was also working as physical instructor at the Swahid Akshendra High School, Bajali. He took his last breath in Pathsala on 4-07-2019, following critical illness. He was 54 at the time of his demise.

His widow Purabi Sarma and other family members along with the members of Pathsala press guild and local people also paid floral tribute which was followed by lighting of an earthen lamp at the office of Udayan Sangha by maintaining social distance.

In the programme president of Pathsala Bajar Committee Giridhar Choudhury, president of Bajali district BJP Nagen Choudhury, Dr. Newton Das, Professor Nayan Dev Choudhury, Professor Nripen Das, Dhrubajoyti Talukdar president of Pathsala Press Guild, Sasangka Talukdar secretary of Pathsala Press Guild, members of Udayan Sangha, and family members of Lt Prasanta Kumar Sarma along with limited well wishers were present.
