One drowns in Deroi River near Demow

DEMOW: A boat mishap took place in Deroi River near Demow on Tuesday evening where a person named Chabua Pandav (55) drowned. According to sources, Chabua Pandav, a resident of Bor Deroi Gaon, was trying to cross the Deroi River on a boat when the mishap took place and he drowned in the Deroi River. According to sources, a SDRF team conducted a search operation in Deroi River on Wednesday morning and recovered his body.
