Overseas Bank Guwahati Zone distributed flood relief in Mangaldai

MANGALDAI: Expressing their solidarity and extending a helping hand at this hour of crisis towards the flood-affected villagers, Overseas Bank Guwahati Zone distributed relief to flood affected families in Janaramchowka Gaon Panchayat area of Mangaldai. The funds were distributed by the Assistant General Secretary of the Employees' Group of the financial institution Sanjay Dey in collaboration with local conscious citizens. They distributed one package of essential items to hundreds of families in Bar-Athiabari, Kalyanpur, Goalpara, Rangamati and other people affected by the flood of Shaktola River. Local social worker Madhav Sharma and journalist Pranjal Kumar Sharma assisted in the distribution of food items ranging from phenol to soap. The water level has dropped since the temporary dam was erected four days ago but the situation is difficult for the flood victims. The bank's officers and employees union were led by the Assistant General Secretary of Arab Guwahati Zone.
