Tulip Festival

To begin the list of the fantastic flower festivals and events in India, there is nothing better than the Tulip Festival in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. Rose Festival

This festival is hosted by two gardens, Leisure Valley and Zakir Hussain Rose Garden. While roaming around the garden, it is the myriads of colours and fragrances of millions of varieties of roses. Besides enjoying the heavenly beauty of the flowers, you can also take part in several events. Children can take part in the events and the Rose Prince and Rose Princess are selected from them.

Ooty Flower Show

This wonderful flower festival is arranged in May at the Government Botanical Garden in Ooty, Tamil Nadu. Ooty Flower Show was first arranged in 1895 and since then, it is organized successfully each year. This is a three-day event that includes a flower show, spice show, rose show, fruit show, and vegetable show. At the floral event, you will find lots of installations of flowers which are a complete visual treat.

International Flower Festival

March and April is the time of floral outbursts in northeast India, especially in Sikkim. To make it more worthy for the visitors, the splendid and colourful flora is brought to the exhibition for the tourists this time. At this festival, you can witness more than 600 rare species of orchids and over 50 species of rhododendron.

Lalbagh Flower Show

Bangalore is known as the city of gardens, so it is quite obvious that the city will arrange some top-class floral festivals every year. Lalbagh Botanical Garden organizes flower festivals twice a year- one on Republic Day in January and the other in August, on Independence Day.

Kaas Plateau Flower Show

This is another mesmerizing flower show in India that attracts millions of visitors to get amazed. It happens from the late-August to the beginning of September in Maharashtra. Kaas Plateau in Maharashtra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for being the home of more than 850 species of wildflowers.

Dasara Flower Show

Dasara Flower Show is a yearly grand festival that is celebrated in Mysore. To be specific, this massive event is organized at Nishad Bagh in September-October. The main attraction of this floral event is the huge variety of roses and orchids. Here, you get to see the rarest versions of these flowers that will make you awestruck. Besides that, the musical fountain is an additional attraction to this festival.
