IndiGo has been ranked 103rd out of 109 airlines in the 2024 AirHelp Score report, with a score of 4.80. The low rating stems from poor customer satisfaction and inadequate handling of flight disruption claims.
The survey, conducted by EU-based AirHelp, evaluates airlines on punctuality, service quality, and compensation claims. The scores are calculated based on equal weightage for these factors.
Brussels Airlines topped the global ranking with a score of 8.12, followed by Qatar Airways (8.11) and United Airlines (8.04). Air India, another Indian airline, ranked 61st with a score of 6.15.
IndiGo criticised the report’s methodology and transparency, questioning its credibility. The airline highlighted its consistent performance in punctuality, which the survey allegedly overlooked.
IndiGo pointed out the lack of disclosed sample size from India and the report's failure to consider global compensation guidelines, casting doubt on the survey's reliability.
