As the year 2025 brought the world the 'Generation Beta,' India welcomed its first baby of this generation on New Year's Day, January 1, in Aizawl, Mizoram.
According to reports, the baby boy, Frankie Remruatdika Zadeng, was born at 12:03 a.m. on January 1 at Durtlang's Synod hospital in Aizawl, marking Generation Beta's first birth.
The baby weighed 3.12 kg at the time of his birth and marked the beginning of the new generation's era.
WHAT IS GEN BETA?
Futurist Mark McCrindle coined the term 'Gen Beta' to describe babies born between 2025 and 2039, claiming that by 2035 they will account for 16% of the global population.
McCrindle explained that they will be the offspring of Gen Ys (millennials) and older Gen Zs, with many of the Gen Beta babies living to see the 22nd century.
