Jatin Goswami - Padma Bhushan (Art)

Jatin Goswami, the Sattriya dance maestro, has been honored with the Padma Bhushan. Goswami, a former Padma Shri and Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee, was trained in the classical Sattriya dance form, which is an integral part of the state's Viashnavite culture.

Joynacharan Bathari - Padma Shri (Art)

Joynacharan Bathari has been awarded the Padma Shri for his contributions to Dimasa folk traditions. He is regarded as the artistic representative of the Dimasa community.

Gita Upadhyay - Padma Shri (Literature and Education)

Gita Upadhyay is a well-known author and the granddaughter of Chabilal Upadhyay, a freedom fighter and the first president of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee. She is known for her literary works and is an influential social worker. 

Reba Kanta Mahanta - Padma Shri (Art)

Reba Kanta Mahanta was named for the Padma Shri award for his contributions to traditional mask-making, which have helped to ensure that Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev's rich legacy continues.

Anil Kumar Boro - Padma Shri (Literature and Education)

Anil Kumar Boro is Assam's fourth Padma Shri recipient. He has been associated with the Department of Folklore Studies at Gauhati University. Boro's scholarship has helped to broaden the world's understanding of the vibrant Bodo culture.
