Coldplay’s Ahmedabad concert on January 26 set a new record for the largest stadium concert of the 21st century, surpassing George Strait’s Texas record. Over 111,000 fans attended each night, solidifying India as a key destination for international artists.

India’s Booming Concert Economy

The live music market in India is expected to reach ₹1,864 crore ($223 million) in 2024, while the overall live events market is projected to grow from ₹88 billion in 2023 to ₹143 billion by 2026, with a 17.6% CAGR — one of the fastest globally.
