Rahul Dravid is the first Indian cricketer to score five double-centuries in Test Cricket. He alone scored 200 against Zimbabwe, 217 against England, 222 against New Zealand, 233 against Australia and 270 against Pakistan.
Dravid has scored 13,288 test runs and is the fourth-highest run-scorer in Test Cricket after Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting and Jacques Kallis. He has scored 7,690 Test runs away from home. In 164 matches, Dravid took 210 catches. He has batted for 735 hours and 52 minutes in his Test career, which is the highest by any batsman.
Dravid has scored 88 centuries in Tests. He holds records in partnerships in ODI - 331 runs with Sachin Tendulkar and 318 runs with Sourav Ganguly.
Dravid is the second wicketkeeper-batsman to score a century after Zimbabwean Dave Houghton in the World Cup.
In 1998, Rahul Dravid received the Arjuna Award. In 2004, he received the Padma Shri, India’s fourth highest civilian award. In 2013, he received the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian award. In 2018, Dravid’s name was included in the list of inductors of ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.
