Welcome Generation Beta: The Next Wave After Gen Alpha and Gen Z, Coming in 2025

Sentinel Digital Desk

Starting January 1, 2025, Generation Beta will mark the next chapter in human demographics. This group will include children born between 2025 and 2039 and is expected to constitute 16% of the global population by 2035.

Generation Beta follows the Greek alphabet trend started with Gen Alpha (2010-2024). This shift symbolizes a fresh era in history, succeeding Gen Z (1996-2010) and millennials (1981-1996).

Social researcher Mark McCrindle predicts that many in Gen Beta will live into the 22nd century, bringing a new perspective to global culture, economy, and technology.

The Current Generations

Today, Gen Z and Gen Alpha are shaping trends with their purchasing power and social media influence. By the late 2020s, Gen Alpha will enter adulthood, the workforce, and household formation.

Gen Alpha is the most tech-savvy, materially endowed, and long-living generation yet. They stay in education longer, start earning later, and live at home into their late 20s, redefining parental roles.
