Olympic javelin champion Neeraj Chopra surprised his fans by announcing his wedding to Himani Mor. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Himachal Pradesh, attended by 40–50 close guests. Neeraj shared the joyous news on social media, seeking blessings from his fans.
Who is Himani Mor?
Himani Mor, 25, is a talented tennis player from Sonipat, Haryana. She pursued her schooling at Little Angels School in Sonipat and later studied at Delhi’s Miranda House, where she completed her bachelor's degree in Political Science and Physical Education.
Currently, Himani is pursuing a Master’s degree in Sports Management at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire, USA. Alongside her studies, she works as an assistant coach for the women's tennis team at Amherst College in Massachusetts.
Himani competed at the 2017 World University Games in Taipei, representing Delhi University. She also won a gold medal in the World Junior Tennis Championship held in Malaysia in 2016. Her best national ranking was 42 in singles and 27 in doubles in 2018, according to the All India Tennis Association (AITA).
Himani is the daughter of Chand Ram and has a brother, Himanshu, who is also a tennis player. Her father confirmed that the wedding took place in India but kept other details private. The couple has left for their honeymoon at an undisclosed location.
Neeraj’s uncle, Bhim, mentioned that the wedding was intentionally kept low-key to avoid media attention. The couple wanted to celebrate their special day privately with close family and friends.
