World's First Flying Car Worth Rs 2.5 Crore Takes Flight For The First Time

A futuristic car designed to solve traffic jams has taken its first flight. Alef Aeronautics built a vehicle that is priced at Rs 2.5 crore ($300,000). 

It drives like a regular car, has propellers in the front and back, and can take off anytime.The US-based automaker shared the first video of the vehicle flying, looking like it came from a sci-fi movie. 

Using distributed electric propulsion and a mesh layer over the propeller blades, the car was able to fly above the ground. Reports stated that the company tested a lightweight prototype of the Alef Model Zero.

Alef plans to launch a two-seater Model A flying car for commercial use, with a 110-mile flying range and a 200-mile driving range. The vehicle is expected to have autopilot flight features. The company has already received 3,300 pre-orders.

By 2035, Alef plans to introduce the Alef Model Z, a four-seater flying sedan with a 200-mile flight range and a 400-mile driving range.
