KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang stresses door-to-door distribution of food items

DONKAMUKAM: Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Chief Executive Member Tuliram Ronghang on Wednesday directed his workers under No. 6 Bithung Rengthama MAC Constituency to distribute food items like 15 kg rice, one kg dal and sanitizers from door-to-door to 17,010 families with NFSA cards as well as non-NFSA card holders.
Ronghang, on Wednesday, formally inaugurated the second round of distribution programme at Donkamukam Waisong Stadium, West Karbi Anglong. "I suggest you all to distribute the food items door-to-door to every family," he told the workers. "It will take time but safety is also guaranteed," he added. "Thousands of people, especially students, are stranded outside the Northeast and the government is trying every possible way to bring them home safely. If someone from our locality returns from other States these days, kindly ensure that they cooperate to follow all protocol," he further said. The government has also formulated policies for economic development as well as protection from COVID-19, the CEM added. MP Horensing Bey assured the people of getting bonus from Prime Minister Modi if the district remained in green zone till August 15.
