Border Security Force Troops rescued flood affected people near Assam-Bengal Border

Guwahati: The troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force (BSF) on 15^th July 2019, in different a generosity, rescued 11 people of border village Andran Singimari who were trapped in flood. BSF provided medical assistance to women of the border village of Khetabarkuttiin the bordering area of Coochbehar district (WB).

In first generosity, BSF troops of Border Out Post (BOP) Padma are deployed in District Coochbehar (WB) under BSF Guwahati Frontier and dominating the International border area. On 15th July 2019 at about 1400 hrs, SHO Sitai S D Bhattacharya and some villagers of villAndranSingimari reached BSF Camp Padma and requested to provide BSFJawans and BSF Speed boat to rescue the people who were trapped in the flood and to distribute the relief material. BSFprovided all support as was required for rescue and relief work with the help of BSF 11 people of village AndranSingimariwere rescued and they were sent to relief centers in 18 Joni Primary school under the observation of BDO Sitai, and relief material distributed to flood-affected people.

In other generosity, On 15 July 2019 at about 2210 hrs, a women border dweller namely MihinulBibi (32 Yrs), W/o JahangeerHussainvill - Khetabarkutti, in the area of Border Outpost (BOP)Choudharyhat fell unconscious and her husband requested BSF camp Commander of Choudharyhatto evacuate to his wife the nearest hospital.ImmediatelyBSF evacuated her to Primary Health Center Bamanhat.

The border people appreciated the work of BSF. Border Security Force is dedicated to the security of Border of India as well as protection of the border population. BSF is the largest Border Guarding Force in the world.
