CM Pema Khandu assured immediate action to hunt down Perpetrators involved in killing of Khonsa West MLA

Guwahati: With the brutal assassination of the sitting MLA for National People's Party (NPP) Tirong Aboh of Khonsa West along with 11 others on Tuesday, Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu assured for immediate action to hunt down the perpetrators involved in the killing incident.

CM Khandu in his tweet in the micro-blogging site Twitter said, "Extremely shocked by unfortunate incident of killing of Khonsa MLA Tirong Aboh along with several others by insurgents. Strongly condemn this barbarous act. My heartfelt condolence & may soul of those departed Rest In Peace."

It is to be noted that the incident was reported from Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday morning at around 11 am.

According to reports, suspected NSCN-IM (National Socialist Council of Nagaland) militants could be behind the attack, which took place at Bogapani village of Tirap district in Arunachal Pradesh.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner of Khonsa West confirmed The Sentinel Digital that around 11 people were shot to death along with sitting MLA of NPP by suspected militants of NSCN-IM.
