Crime Branch Seize Rs 1 Crore, Man arrested for producing Fake Tender Documents

Guwahati: The Crime branch of Guwahati managed to seize Rs 1 cr in cash from a person identified as Bhabatosh Saha. Police sources informed that Saha took the money from one Tapan Kumar Chakma to start a construction work at Dima Hasao District Autonomous Council by producing fake documents that showed that he has been allotted the tender to start the construction project.

However, after a thorough verification it was found that the tender documents were completely fake and that Saha had duped Chakma and collected the huge amount of money from him. Sleuths of the City Crime Branch managed to nab Saha along with the cash and booked him under charges including forgery, illegal money collection and other criminal offences.
