Foundation day of INC observed at Gaurisagar

GAURISAGAR, Dec 28: Along with the rest of the State, the 131st foundation day of Indian tiol Congress (INC) was observed on Wednesday at Gaurisagar Rajiv Bhavan under the aegis of Gaurisagar Block Congress committee.
The programme started with hoisting of flag hoisted by Angkita Dutta, vice-president, Youth Congress, Jorhat Parliamentary Constituency followed by offering garland at the portrait of the Father of the tion, Mahatma Gandhi.
Later, an open session was held. The dignitaries who attended the meeting were Angkita Dutta, Chandi Gogoi and Biswa Kanta Baruah, vice-presidents of Sivasagar District Congress Committee,  Jitu Dutta, general secretary, Sivasagar District Congress Committee, Suren Borah, president, Gaurisagar Block Congress Committee, Pankaj Bharali and Tukheswari Neog Phukan, both members of Jakaichuk and Morabazar Zila Parishad. The  GP presidents, AP members, ward members and the members of Gaurisagar Block Congress, Mahila Congress and Mondal Congress  attended the meeting.
