JP Nadda succeeds Amit Shah to become BJP National President from the year 2019-22

NEW DELHI: JP Nadda was declared BJP National President for the year 2019-22 at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi.

The party which tweeted a congratulatory message in Hindi informed that the party's National Election Officer, Shri Radha Mohan Singh, declared Shri JP Nadda unopposed as the BJP National President for the year 2019-22.

Nadda was earlier the party’s working president and Amit Shah was the BJP National President.

Just a few days ago, in a direct attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Nadda dared him to speak ten sentences on CAA.

Nadda was speaking at a program in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act when he threw this challenge. “Congress is opposing the CAA. I dare Rahul Gandhi to speak 10 sentences on the law. He should tell us in two sentences what is his problem with the CAA,” he had said.

Nadda is known as a master strategist in his party. The party had given him charge of Uttar Pradesh in the recently concluded hustings.

Educated at St. Xaviers School, Patna, Nadda thereafter did his B.A. from Patna College, Patna University and LL.B. from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. He is a three-time MLA in the Himachal Assembly. He came to the upper house from Himachal Pradesh and was appointed Minister in 2014.
