Kamrup Metropolitan Administration Declares ‘DRY DAY’ on May 23rd “Counting Day”

Guwahati: The Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metropolitan on Wednesday in connection with 3^rd Phase of General Election to the Lok Sabha, 2019, Dry Day declared in the district from 5 pm of May 21 to 5 pm on May 23, 2019, and on 23 May 2019 i.e the day of the counting of votes.

During this period, the possession/distribution/sale of liquor is completed prohibited.

All the bonded warehouses, IMFL Retail “OFF” and “ON” shops including Club “ON”, Hotel “ON” and country spirit shops shall remain closed during this period.

Violation of order would attract penal action as per law.
