Major Fire broke out in Guwahati's Hatigaon

Guwahati: A major fire broke out in Guwahati's Hatigaon area on Friday evening.

As per reports, around 8 to 9 houses gutted in the fire incident today, informed the officer in charge, Hatigaon Police Station, Loknath Deka.

OC Deka also stated that as per their preliminary investigation, it has been assumed that the fire broke due to short circuit. However, no casualties have been reported so far.

Following the incident, the Fire tenders rushed to the spot to get hold of the situation.

It is also believed that properties worth several lakhs of rupees were gutted in the fire incident.
