OBITUARY | 21 May, 2018

Mira Mahanta, fashion designer, choreographer and noted social worker, died of heart failure at her residence in Tezpur town on May 20. She was 61. Mira was closely associated with Ban Theatre, Assam Reparatory, M M Production, Jyoti Kala Kendra, naamghar and several social and cultural organizations. She was loved and respected by all sections of the people of the area.

Office bearers of Ban Theatre, Tezpur Sahitya Sabha, Tezpur Municipal Corporation and others associations paid homage and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
