SBI signs MoU with Transport department

GUWAHATI: A MoU has been signed on Tuesday between the Department of Transport, Govt of Assam and State Bank of India for integration of SBI e-pay with “SARATHI” portal for online application and collection of fee for driving licence. Shortly the public will be able to apply and pay the required fee for their driving licence including learner licence themselves through online.

The MoU was signed by Manojit Saikia, Deputy General Manager-(Digital & Transaction Banking) for and on behalf of State Bank of India and Manoj Kumar, Commissioner of Transport for and on behalf of Govt. of Assam in presence of circle CGM Sunil Kumar Tandon, Digmanu Gupta, General Manager-(Network-II) and Ajoy Kumar Singh, General Manager-(Network-I), a press release stated.
