Guwahati: SBI has organized a first of its kind discussion session on a national level to generate ideas and review bank performance aligned with national priorities. The consultative meetings with the branch managers was conducted on Saturday and Sunday through out the Northeastern states as a first stage of the bottom-up consultative process. In Guwahati Metro Region the programme was attended by Chief General Manager Sunil Kumar Tandon, along with General Manager Network-I Sudhir Kumar Sharma.
The primary objective of this meeting was to identify and finalise ways & means to increase credit to various sectors of the economy, enhance use of technology to bring about innovation and enable big data analytics, and make banking citizen-centric as well as more responsive to the needs and aspiration of senior citizens, farmers, small industries, enterprises, youth, students and women.
