Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma was conferred with the degree of 'Honoris Causa' on the occasion of the 4th convocation in Sharda University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

This honorary degree is conferred to noted personalities to recognise their contribution towards social causes or in their field of expertise.

The chief guest of the programme was Ramesh Pokhriyal, Union Minister of Education and Dr Ravi P Singh, Secretary-General of Quality Council of India (QCI) was the guest of honour.

CM Sangma took to Twitter to share the good news.
