A tion Shamed

The ideologues who have no qualms in threatening a sitting Chief Minister of India of expelling him to Bangladesh will certainly not hesitate a bit in demolishing mere statues of a dead leader of a foreign country.

If killing fellow citizens in the me of religion or any 'holy' animal is 'tiolism', if murdering intellectuals for their 'sin' of being ratiol and secular is 'patriotism', if defaming memories of departed intertiol stalwarts is 'love towards the motherland', these words should immediately be amended in the English dictiory!
What next? Drawing inspiration from the Taliban and bombing the statues of Rabindrath Tagore and Kazi zrul Islam, for being symbols of commul harmony, to dust after 'capturing' Bengal!
Despite the thumping electoral success in Tripura by joining hands with a separatist force claiming ‘Tipraland’, as far as vote share is concerned, BJP(minus its ally) and Left Front are almost neck to neck with negligible difference. So,  far from 'demise' of the Left in Tripura, it is actually tranquility and sanity which have passed away in India’s one of the most peaceful States as certified by none other than the Union Home Ministry under BJP regime at the Centre.
The fall of the  government under India’s poorest and most humble and efficient Chief Minister Manik Sarkar whose governce had not only ensured peace and harmony, but also lifted Tripura’s position at the tiol level on literacy aspect and other indexes of social development has now been been replaced by the self-declared guardians of 'tiolism' who are hell-bent on bringing 'good Days' in Tripura through brute force in the me of 'gomata', commul polarization and vitriolic attacks. Even before taking charge of the State officially, if the lot starts demolishing statues, it can be easily visualized what may be in store in Tripura. Tripura is indeed doomed. Heads of all conscientious Indians hang in shame witnessing the emergence of  Taliban-like activities in Tripura.
